The Story Behind the LWOK Campaign

Jenna Kandyce Linch is a self published author, abuse survivor and member of RAINN's Speakers Bureau. She is also the founder of Born To Be Inc, a non profit that helps survivors of abuse replace the shattered, broken image they often have of themselves with an image of self confidence that comes from seeing how beautiful they are. As a fellow survivor of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault, Jenna uses her words to encourage, inspire, and motivate  others out there in their own journey of healing.  She created and started the Little Words of Kindness Campaign as a way to connect survivors to each other through letters of encouragement written to one another. Touched  by letters of encouragement she received in the past from people,  Jenna was inspired to begin the LWOK Campaign, knowing and believing that even something as simple as a note filled with kind words written from a stranger can sometimes make a huge difference in another person's life.  In May of 2015 Jenna launched the campaign and it is her hope and desire that survivors are able to encourage one another and build each other up through little words of kindness shared because it's those ordinary things in life that make the world a more extraordinary place.
